Can I use the copperware for cooking?
Copper pans can be used for cooking, but there are a couple of things to bear in mind. First of all, you need to understand the difference between lined and unlined copperware. As copper can react with acidic foods, most copperware is lined on the inside with tin (or stainless steel in modern pans) to prevent this. The lining in a pan wears off with age and the pan will need to be re-tinned once the copper on the inside becomes exposed. The pans we sell will generally require a new lining before they can be used for cooking.
There is copperware used for specialised purposes, such as bowls used for whisking eggs, which are generally unlined. These should only be used for the intended purpose.
Is it possible to re-tin the copperware?
As some of our customers prefer an old look and do not intend to use the pans for cooking, we do not send the pans for re-tinning ourselves. We can however recommend several craftsmen who can re-tin the pan for you.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?
We ship directly from France. Shipping normally takes 5-10 business days.
How can I track my order online?
We use the parcel service from La Poste for our deliveries. You can track your order by visiting their website at www.laposte.fr/colissimo and entering the tracking code provided in the shipping confirmation email you will have received. Please be aware that the La Poste online tracking system can sometimes be delayed and it can take 1-2 days for the code to be activated online.
What is your returns policy?
If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you can either return your order for a full refund or exchange it for something else. Returned or exchanged products must be in the condition you received them. We accept returns within 14 days of receipt. Unfortunately, we cannot reimburse your shipping costs.
